About

Did you know that Canvas and Cocktails is one of the very first paint and sip studios in the country? It all started with me wanting to prove to my father that I could make a living with my "Art Degree". I love people, I love painting and I love wine- How could mixing the three not be a successful business? Canvas and Cocktails was formed one night in 2008 over a bottle of wine with my girlfriends. I signed a lease in Cherry Creek North in January 2009 and our doors opened in March. Word spread fast about our entertaining art concept and within the next year we expanded our space and started consulting our business concept to studio owners across the country. A few years later we opened a second location and started partnering with bars and breweries to enhance our experience offsite. Thirteen years later I am still amazed at the fact that I am able to wake up every day absolutely loving what I am doing- and the fact that I proved my dad wrong? Even better!! -Brittney

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs
  • What is a Canvas and Cocktails class like?
In a relaxed, social, group setting, an artist will guide you through replicating the session's featured painting step by step. Whether you are an aspiring Van Gogh or just looking to explore your creative side, you are sure to leave with a painting that is uniquely yours. By the end of the class you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! Classes are approximately 2-3 hours with a short break.
  • Where are you located/parking?
Our store is located in Park Meadows Mall. We suggest using the Southwest Parking Lot 2 located between Macy's and Nordstrom, across the parking lot from The Container Store. The entrance you should use has the Ent Credit Union logo on the side of the building. We are located right inside that entrance. Our address is 8405 Park Meadows Center Dr. Lone Tree, CO 80124.
  • Are children allowed in a Canvas and Cocktails class?
We recommend Open Paint and any of our daytime classes for children ages 5 and up. Daytime classes are typically held on the weekends between 11am-3pm. Due to the difficulty and mature nature of our evening classes at 6:30pm, we recommend ages 12 and up.
  • Where can I find a gallery of all of your painting choices?
Our artists have been working hard over the years to bring you a unique variety of subjects and painting styles. You can view our most current and in season paintings on our upcoming calendars. However, we have hundreds more on our Facebook Page and in our studio if you would like to stop by and take a look! Have a painting idea you would like to replicate? Email us and we will see what we can do!
  • Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! We offer gift certificates for a variety of prices. Click here to purchase!
  • Do I need to sign up in advance?
Because of limited seating, signing up in advance is always recommended. You can register on the website or give us a call. If a class is sold out, please email info@canvasandcocktails.com to join our wait list. Due to last minute cancellations, we can almost always get you in!
  • What is the cost of a Canvas and Cocktails class?
The price ranges between $25-$50 depending on the class time and painting.
  • What do I wear?
We will provide aprons, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting paint on- just in case! Remember- we are using acrylic paints so be sure to leave nice jackets and purses at home! Canvas and Cocktails is not responsible for any paint damage.
  • What time do I need to arrive for a class?
We recommend coming 15 minutes early to get checked in, grab a glass of wine and get the seat of your choice.

  • Can I BYOF (food)?
No. Due to health code regulations, outside food is not allowed during our public classes. We have small snacks for sale during class and recommend grabbing a bite to eat before coming in!
  • If I come with a friend or a group, can we all sit together?
We always try to seat parties together! Simply make a note of who you are joining in your reservation or create a Group ID and for your friends to reference when registering for their seats.
  • How do I cancel a class reservation?
If you contact us at least 48-hours prior to your class, you can receive a studio credit for the full value of your seats to use for a future class. Please call us at 303-794-6696 or email us at info@canvasandcocktails.com. Please remember to give us the name the reservation is under along with the class date and time
  • What happened to your other location(s)?
After 10 wonderful years in Cherry Creek, our final class was held at our original location at the beginning of January 2019. Our studio spaces in Littleton/Centennial at the Streets of SouthGlenn and Cherry Knolls served us very well for many years, however we are thrilled to be in a brand new space in Park Meadows - Lone Tree. Come paint with us! Remember, it's cheaper than therapy, and we love the free parking too!

What is your most memorable moment in a C & C class?

I was staffing a class where someone was about to propose. Only the instructor and I knew it was about to happen. We played the couple's song "Mess is Mine" and I was recording the whole thing - I think I may have been more excited than the guy!

What do you like most about teaching at C&C?

Everything! The environment is so positive and upbeat. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and sharing in their joy. I love that everyone is getting the same set of instructions, but each painting turns out differently- that's the beauty of the world, the uniqueness in each person and the beauty within.

What is your most memorable moment in a C & C class?

I wasn't actually working there yet, and it was my first time in, but my now brother-in-law proposed to my sister there. Everyone was in on it except her, and the staff did a huge toast. It was so much fun! (She said yes, just so you don't wonder)

What is your most memorable moment in a C & C class?

I love celebrating birthdays at C&C! I had a family come in to celebrate a birthday and they were so excited to see their birthday shout out up at the front. The whole family was so energetic and fun! I always feel so lucky to be a part of someone's big day.

What is your favorite Canvas and Cocktails painting to teach?

My favorite painting to teach is Baby Ostrich or Wacky Alpacky - any of the paintings where the brushstrokes don’t have much rhyme or rhythm to them, it’s so colorful and “go with the flow” feel!

What is your most memorable moment in a C & C class?

I love watching the touching, bonding moments in class. I have had a proposal, multiple generations getting together, healing memorials to those we have lost, and celebrations of triumphant recoveries.
